Here at LAAGD, we strive to help aspiring STEAM students develop the skills needed to be complete game developers. With a focus on programming and music composition, we want to expand knowledge in EVERY aspect of game design and provide an academic outlet for kids to express their creativity.
Our Mission
As a kid, I loved playing video games; a passion I'm sure many kids share. I always wanted to learn how to make the games I loved playing; however, I was never offered the right opportunity to do so. Video games are often shunned in the educational world, yet they offer kids so many opportunities to hone skills in not just programming, but in the arts, music composition, and teamwork. At LAAGD, we believe that principles of game development should be taught to not only aspiring programmers, but to kids with an affinity for the arts as well. Game development gives students with all sorts of unique interests and talents the opportunity to work together to make a tangible product, while also bridging the divide between the arts and tech.

Going in DEPTH
We strive to teach kids EVERY aspect that goes into making a successful video game. This ensures that all students will find something engaging with the game development process. Additionally, we introduce students to ideas they previously may not have explored.
Provide a COMMUNITY
We see every challenge as an opportunity to grow, so we encourage students to push outside their comfort zones. To do so successfully, kids must feel supported and valued, which is exactly the way we want our students to feel.
Keep the Service FREE
LAAGD is dedicated to keeping its services free. We believe that money shouldn't be a roadblock for students to work around, and that top-notch education shouldn't come with a price tag. To do so, we hope that people who can afford it will consider donating to support our cause.
